Spanish architecture in S.U.

HOME,
 AT LAST!

S.U. Official Logo

So, we're finally set. The Stanford Campus is beautiful, it is very convenient to go around by bike, everything is wonderfully organized.
Lots of libraries, the buildings have that "spanish" look that is simply beautiful, people from all over the world.

A happy island.

Church and glasses

The inside of the Memorial Church at S.U.

Biking LiseA typical student with her "transportation outfit" on. The campus is not totally flat, gets hilly in some areas, but not too hard to bike. Healthy, cheap and good.

Biking Roberto, oh my ...

Back to the bike. An old passion of mine. I have to admit I have cultivated several interests in my life, and the list is always growing.

Main Quad - modern church

The Main Quad, with the Memorial Church (all modern mosaics, though)

Rodin's portal

Rodin's portal, simply beautiful. It is true you can spend ages looking at it and you'll always find something new! And also the fact Rodin was definitely a "bon vivant"!

Rodin's statue

And last but not least: on campus there are about 20 (twenty) beautiful bronze statues from Auguste Rodin. Just like that. A whole garden full. Well, I'm impressed!

Dried out little lake

This is the Lake Lagunita. Yep, it's a lake. The concept they have here in Stanford about a lake is surely different from yours and mine. But I heard it gets full of water during winter ... I wonder how much it's gonna rain ...
