These are the two pages of pictures published in the May 1998 issue of Popular Photography, where my pictures from 1993 Rio de Janeiro Carnival mix up with last year's.

 My participation in carnivals starts in 1993 in Rio de Janeiro and is being uninterrupted since then.
1993 was the year when the famous samba school "Salgueiro" won the parade with the tune "explode coração, na maior felicidade . è lindo o meu Salgueiro ."

Still now, when you walk around the streets of Rio, it is not unusual to be hearing somebody singing this tune, just to have an idea of  how popular it became.
